Unhappy new member to ebook world

Hi all, a virgin reader of the digital format, and absolutely loving it. Problems though if anyone can help. I have the sony prs 505 ebook, which is great. Its the library thats giving me hell. Its simply gone and died on me. When I open it only half the page is visible and I cannot click on anything. I have also reinstalled it several times. As a non american purchaser I have no real legal rights to get help from sony, any ideas.
