That is not exactly an eBook site. It is an online reading site. They are different things. Check out more online reading sites and a pretty complete list of eBook sites on my web site.

Great times to be alive indeed. 8 years ago I was taught by Jerome Mcgann, his pet project was the etext library at the Uni of Virginia (mentioned in the first post). Although he was a leading Byron authority at the time, he had dedicated all his time and energy to this project. He told us that soon a time would come when we would be able to enjoy the global literary heritage for free. That time has arrived. If you like classics, then there is absolutely no need to go out and spend your money on dead-tree books. I am reading Proust these days and the excellent downloads from Feedbooks have made my printed copies totally redundant. I have them on my iLiad and Pocket PCs, I can read them in bed, in my car (during my lunch-breaks at work as I work night shifts) and obviously during the day on my iLiad. I must say mobipocket's reader for Pocket PC is a huge advancement over the Microsoft Reader. Yes great times to be alive indeed. Feedbooks.com, mobipocket and pocket pc make an excellent combination.

What is it about Mobipocket Reader that you like better than MS Reader?

It is more flexible. I used MS Reader for almost 7 years in last one week I have come to know the Mobipocket and I will never go back to MS Reader.
What I like about Mobipocket:

Very light on system resources, specially the desktop Mobipocket reader is very very light.
Excellent interface with the PC. The desktop reader manages the library and various devices associated with your PC. You can send a book streight to your chosen device from the library.
More versatile and flexible PPC version, gives you control over the fonts, font size, even the size of the margins.
Auto-scroll function in the Pocket PC version.

I have used the PPC version for only a few times during the last week but it is a more refined experience than the one offered by MS Reader. Hopefully I will explore it further and discover more features in coming weeks.

I can actually use it for reading, the desktop reader is so good!

The library interface has seamless links to library and bookstore as well as news:
