OT request -Civil War Era Books

I wasn't sure where to ask this question. I hope it's okay here. There's such a pool of knowledge on these forums. My ds is very involved in Civil War reenactment. I would like to get him a couple of authentic books for his pack. He plays the part of a Union soldier from a unit out of Kentucky. Does anyone have any advice on tracking down books like that? I'm not looking for expensive ones, he'll be displaying them in makeshift camps. Thanks so much.
