You know you are senile when

Let's see how funny we can get with this one:

1) You know you are senile when you go looking for your eyeglasses only to realize they are on your face;

2) You get up to get something and can't recall what it is so you go back sit down realize what you went for then you go to get it and can't recall what you went for, you do this cycle five times in a row. One is normal five times in a row is senile.

3) You glance about your office convinced that you are at home. Or you look about your home absolutely sure that you are at work.

A friend of mine was trying to remember which day my birthday was on, and guessed two dates. I looked carefully at the two dates trying to remember which one of them was my birthday. Neither of them were but it took a long time to come to that conclusion.

You get down on your knees for something, but by the time you make it down there you have forgotten what it was.

I woke up this morning and put my socks on the wrong feet, but I only realized it when I bend down to lace up my loafers...

How about something a pal of mine did some time ago. He bent down to put on his socks and couldn't figure out why his socks weren't on his feet. Turns out that he was so senile that he had put them on his hands rather than his feet.

My wife and I have lived in our home for the past 13 years and she caught me one night standing in the hallway frantically looking for the toilet. Turns out that that would have been exactly where the toilet would have been if we were still in our old town house thirteen years ago.

Next night she caught me standing in front of a wall of our bedroom scratching my head. I said that I couldn't figure out where the door was, turns out that I thought that I was in my old apartment that I left fifteen years in the past. That would have been exactly where the door would have been if I had been in the apartment.
