However, keep in mind that if you use the 45% code on something new, that also has the 15% "new" discount, the 45% and the 15% together will be close to 60% - not quite the same since the two discounts in series are a bit less than one by itself, but close.

Just thought I'd complicate your thought process a bit if any of the books you want are new!

15% and 45% consecutively only add up to a 53.25% discount. There have been at least nine 55% or 60% discount weekends this year.

Even for new ebooks, it's best to wait.

Guess it just depends on your buying style. For me, I usually buy from Fictionwise whenever the discount, whether aggregate or not, is anything over 50%. If it's a really expensive book, when even a few percent will add up, I might wait for the 60%, but mostly anything over 50% is good enough for me.

Everyone's mileage is different, but I don't need every last penny from Fictionwise - they have been pretty good to me over the years, especially in pre-agency (and pre-BN) days.

I balance the percent discount with the list price and my interest in reading the material. Anything over 50% is usually "good enough." But there have been times when I was happy to use a 35% discount on some short stories that were priced at 99 cents.

So, just another "Thanks" to those who post these codes!

So I've used the 45% on the latest Asimov's and Analog (Jan 2013). But I'm having trouble downloading them. I suspect there's a bit of a rush on their servers.
