The poll needs to be multiple choice to be of any accuracy for me.

Picked scifi and fantasy as that has always been my favourite genre... but really, I read almost everything. I love all fiction, even enjoyed some old romantic adventure type books. I've also read thrillers and mystery. And occasionally I pick up a history book, or any other educational book about whichever subject interests me, as well as I sometimes read religious books (I'm not religious, but I do enjoy reading about it. Helps me with my own beliefs, as well as helps me to have a conversation with religious people)
So really, I pretty much read everything. Only two choices above I never recall touching are self-help and sports. |

I read a lot of stuff. Fantasy, Science Fiction, Non-Fiction (sciency, not historical), general Fiction. General Fiction would be most of what I read now, which isn't even an option. In order of occurence from your list:
(Fiction) Science Fiction and Fantasy Non-Fiction Computers Parenting For your poll I choose other.

Voted for scifi and fantasy (although I'd really have preferred "speculative fiction", adding things like dystopias, apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic fiction, alternative history and such into the mix), although it's not all I read - I enjoy a good mystery every now and again, as well as straightforward good old-fashioned adventures or even the odd literary novel.

All of the above (with the exception of self-help, education and parenting).

I don't understand what "Education" is. Looking at my saved list of books read since 2005, I found this good one I read in 2008 that may count: Christine Rosen, My Fundamentalist Education: A Memoir of a Divine Girlhood If Education means textbooks, it's been a long time

I read a lot of different things, but MOSTLY I read general fiction/non-genre fiction/contemporary fiction.

Picked 'Mystery & Thriller', but read books in at least 6 other categories. Can I vote again?

I didn't vote but read most of the above, though I've probably read more speculative fiction.
I go through periods of reading a lot from a particular genre until I get bored with it and move on to something else for a while. |

I can't pick just one since my reading is well-split among at least four of those categories.
