Transfer books to updated KOBO??

I have a Gen2 KOBO, which has served my purpose well. I know, ROFL

However, I would like to update to (at least!!) Kobo touch, or GLO..Question: Will I be able to transfer my books stored on my trusted friend

and if so, How do I go about it???

If they are Kobo books, then when you set up your existing account on your new reader, they will download automagically even preserving you rbookmarks and annotations.

Where did you buy them from? If you bought them from Kobo and used the Kobo Desktop software to get them onto your ereader in the first place, then they are all going to be Kobo Books and you can just sync your new ereader with Kobo Desktop and voila, everything should be there and available.

When you view them in the library list on the device, they should say "Kobo epub" under the name.

If you are using calibre, look at the device list when connected. The kepubs won't match any books in the library, so there will be no green tick next to it.

If you want to search the devices driver when connected, the kepubs are in "./kobo/kepub". Books outside that have been sideloaded.
