Amazon launches Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Lending Library in Europe
In a surprise move, Amazon has announced the launch of the Kindle Paperwhite in the UK, France, and Germany, with shipments starting on 25th October. In addition, at long last the Kindle Lending Library is being rolled out from next month in the UK to Prime members.

Would have been better news if they'd rolled it out a couple of months back, could have given the lending library a whirl on my free prime sub

Still, good news for those in the UK who already use prime, nice bonus for them.

Luckily my US PW seemed to be very slow, so I've cancelled and ordered one for delivery in the UK! I think I can live with the reviews I've read about the lights etc., but nice to know a return will be possible if I need one.
