And they've just added a bunch of stuff to the Bundle:

"Penny Arcade, xkcd, and SMBC! We just added 5 awesome comic collections to the Humble eBook Bundle!"

Plus they have all that money they didn't spend on an operating system.

Yep.. Nearly everything I need to work on my Linux system is available for free. That said, I'm not a gamer, except what I get from the Humble Bundle. Spent too much of my working life having to deal with Windows and the beginning of my career was firmly anchored in the Unix world, so I'm perfectly satisfied.

And the Humble eBook Bundle just passed the $1 million mark on more than 72,500 sales, with 3 days to go. Not bad for a Bundle most seemed to expect to do worse than the Humble Music Bundle (which only reached about $500k).

If you haven't gotten it yet, go do so, especially if you have a tablet (thanks to a graphic novel and 5 webcomic collections, if you pay more than the average - currently $13.86). And, remember, it's also for charity!

Just heard about this on TWiT and dropped by to let MobileRead know...and here is the thread already. (Should have known this would hit here way sooner...lol). Average is up to $13.90 now and the Bundle is selling well. I'm a happy supporter of DRM free books. This is such a great way to support authors as well as make the world a little better place by supporting charity. All of you seem very familiar with the concept, but this is my first experience. So glad I discovered it in time to participate!

Alright, the Humble eBook Bundle has 1 day and 10 hours to go (so ends October 23rd, 7pm Eastern), so not much time left if you haven't already grabbed it.

Stats currently stand at $1,080,324.30 from 76,983 purchases. Average purchase of $14.03 (pay more than that to get John Scalzi's "Old Man's War", Gaiman's "Signal to Noise" graphic novel, and five volumes of webcomic [xkcd, two Penny Arcade, and two Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal], in addition to the six books that actually make up the Bundle itself).

And remember, some of your purchase (1/5 of the total, at the default split) goes to charity.

(oh, and in case anyone's been wondering, other than following them on Twitter and buying their game bundles, I have absolutely no affilliation with anyone involved in the Humble Bundles - just like what they do very much. :P)

I finally caved today. I'm still not really sure I should have paid more than the average, but I guess it's (partly) for charity.

Oh boy, this is another tempting bundle, arrgghhh.

Edit: Okay, they got me on this one, ordered. Being able to pay through Amazon was my downfall.

And the first (and hopefully not last!) Humble eBook Bundle is now closed.

Final total: $1,201,961.57 on 84,165 sales, for an average purchase of $14.28. Good job, folks, as this is the highst average of any Bundle they've done.

(Mods may now close the thread, if they feel like it :P)
