I note that on Apple's product page they only claim it as the thinnest iPhone yet, at its 7.6mm. Thinner phones: http://wirelessandmobilenews.com/201...-razr-not.html Quote:

They're picking up on the 'not the thinnest' meme now, though there's some argument over whether you should include the camera bulge on some of the phones.
The camera on the Motorolas does stick out another few mm, but the Oppo Finder does genuinely appear to be 6.65 mm including the camera. See this YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8pT6y4ty4U Graham |

Apple has been doing this bovine excrement since the nineties. They have been one of the major drivers of the litigative culture that has developed in electronics, and I have zero problems with any consequence they ever get. Microsoft too.

When have they ever? Apple has only ever put other companies innovations in a pretty case.

Not to get dragged into another one of these threads, but you do know that Apple was one of the original three founders of ARM?

Like I said I really respected their maverick and innovative nature back in the 80s which is around when they were involved with ARM. Apple wanted the processor for their Newton, which was an innovation well ahead of it's time. ARM was officially incorporated in 1990 and Apple began to lose it's technologically innovative nature sometime during the 90s time period.

NFC was likely left out so that they would have something to present as new in the 5s.
