When do you put your book down?
Do you like starting afresh when you pick it back up, therefore you're insistent on finishing at the end of a chapter? Or do you stop whenever you feel like it, whether it be half way through the chapter?

I prefer to stop on a chapter break but that's not always possible. When I stop "whenever" I usually reread the previous page or two.

I rarely get a choice in where I stop. The choice is usually made for me: by others or by sleep. I like to think I'd choose to stop at some sort of logical break if given the opportunity to make my own decision.

I have never considered a "rule" for reading. I stop when I have to, start again when I can. My wife has to use a bookmark and can't understand how I can go straight back to where I left off even if the book has been closed.

Always at the end of a chapter unless I'm either reading in bed and struggling to stay awake or someone rudely interrupts me!

Some books are so good, I read them until I become uncomfortable in my seat/bed. Or until sleep time.

If its upto me then at the end otherwise whenever wife can't take it anymore . That is one of the reasons I don't start a book during the weekday or I hardly get any sleep before work.

Paper books, I still always stop on a page number that's an increment of 5. Pretty sure it's a childhood left-over from the nightly 'put it down and go to sleep' enforcement.
With Ebooks I often like to cliffhanger myself. No idea why. |

It depends. I try to stop reading fiction at the end of a chapter if possible. At the very least, I try to stop reading anything (fiction and non-fiction alike) at the end of a paragraph.
