I'd hope for 4G for something like this. I just use my phone as a hotspot for the Nexus 7 right now when on the go, but when I was evaluating it for a review I though a few times that a 7" tablet would be the perfect mobile device if it didn't have to rely on a WiFi connection. Now we just need carriers to offer more (IIRC Verizon has started this?) combined data plans so a separate one isn't needed for each device.

This would be cool. I'd hope for 4g personally, so I wouldn't have to go through the hassle (read - a couple toggles, and a few seconds wait) of firing up the hotspot on my 4g phone. Of course, depending on whether or not they would be useable on my carrier, I'd have to jump ship off of my unlimited plan onto a "share everything" plan that would go dry after about a week of use.
