The Verge is reporting that they have been sent a couple of photos of the new Kindle Fire Tablet.

Looks like the old Fire. The big question is whether or not they'll match the specs of the Nexus 7.

It's rumored to have better resolution also, though like the new iPad, I was fine with the resolution of the first model.

Great, another new case needed. I like the newest electronics, but I cant say I have found anything lacking in the current version. I did try out a Nexus, though - smooooth. I already have decided to buy the lighted version - I don't take the fire out of the house anymore. Now, if they release a 3G version, I'm there!

Given all that the original Fire can do, they'd have to do some kind of data plan if they do a 3g model. Or, find out some way to limit it just to amazon's stuff (prime videos, ebooks...), which I'm not sure would turn out too well.

The update is only saying, in another words, "this is new Kindle, but only some parts of it, and/or a prototype and er... not really the new Kindle, lost your time, thanks for reading."

4:3 is more appealing to me than 16:9/16:10.

If that's the ratio of the larger one, I'll consider getting it. The screen ratio is one of the things I don't like about my Android Tablet.

The problem is that the picture was from Amazon, so it is kind of official. The person who said that that isn't the new Fire looked at a different device. I'm not sure if the author of the article is saying that the device in the picture is a prototype, or if the device that the person held was a prototype.

Everyone isn't that interested in watching movies on their handheld devices.
