Question Split View as Default?

I'm a new user of Sigil (intalled it today ). Can't find a way to make Split View the default. Is it possible? If not, I'd really like it to be

I have been using the Beta for awhile, so I advise: 'don't get attached to the idea of the old Sigil split view'

The new ('subject to change' ) split view is not the same (BV+CV) as the old Sigil. The new view is the 'Code Inspector', similar to what is available in Calibre and Firefox.
In older Sigil (3.x), Sigil tended to remember the last active view when closed

Mmmm. Not sure that's good. You can't actually edit code with the Web Inspector in Calibre, can you? Or do you just mean it pops up like the Web Inspector?

You are correct: No edit in web inspector.
The split just shows BV and Web inspector.

The nice thing about the web inspector is it shows the Inherited CSS values (what you see), then allows you to drill down to the layer that drove you to

Ah well, I'll wait and see. I really want to able to edit code and see the result side by side. That's what a good IDE gives you. Not that I'm complaining - I think Sigil is a good piece of gear, specially for the price
