Kindle 1 and Calibre
Are there any issues with using Calibre with a Kindle 1st generation? When I try to copy a book to the SD card or device, Calibre locks up and the program cannot communicate with the device.
Problem solved. It just started working for no obvious reason.

You need to provide more information.
Open a command window, then type
calibre-debug -g >debug.txt
