This event is no longer exciting to me. I watched the opening ceremony but was not impressed when the video clip of the Queen jumping off with Mr. Bond just stopped abruptly. I was expecting the magical moment of the Queen landing in the venue.

I prefer the Winter Games. As far as the Summer Games go, I like the weapons-based events: archery, decathlon, discus throw, fencing, hammer throw, javelin throw, modern pentathlon, shooting, and shot put.

I hope they moved to a straight timed event with penalties for comprehension errors and bonus points for level of difficulty. If you hop on one foot while reading you should be able to score a 1.3 for difficulty. They could have a panel of judges for style and posture.

Yes it's much better then the 400m freestyle sauntering competition where the athletes keep forgetting where they were going.

How about the 200 Seconds Formatting Hurdles? Athletes are given 1,000 words of badly formatted text to be read in 200 seconds or less. When finished, they're expected to answer 10 questions to judge their comprehension. Best time/score combination wins.
