Unfortunately the same thing may have happened with my other account as I've not received the new code.

I've emailed baensupport and hopefully they may be able to fix it. Otherwise I may have killed this one

The problem may have been because gift certificates do not go out from a Baen email address. So my whitelisting the baen and baenebooks domains simply didn't work

Open a Yahoo or Gmail account and use it for the gift certificates. Work or ISP email spam filters do not like baen gift certificates for some reason, has to do with the way that they are sent.

That is correct, Baen sends the gift email from YOUR address. Most mail systems notice that the email says it is from a domain that it really isn't coming from and flag it as spam or at least use it as a criteria in it's spam ranking algorithm. If your spam system is particularly aggressive and rejects or deletes spam rather than segregating it to a spam folder where you can hopefully find it then it could get lost. If that is the case it might be worth it to set up a free gmail account for participating in the baen bundles. Gmail keeps spam in the spam folder for thirty days before deleting it for good.

That's probably the case with my hosted email but it doesn't explain the problems with my isp account. That certainly shouldn't have rejected it.

The only thing I can think of is I entered the address wrong

I have a gmail account I created to receiving codes and can probably create another if I have to.


EDIT: Does anyone know if spamgourment addresses work with Baen gift certificates or are they likely to get the same treatment?

As long as you do not open a Baen ebooks account using your gmail you are good to go, that is what I do. When I buy a Baen Monthly Bundle for the last year I always send the Gift to my gmail for later giving.

I have been using a spamgourmet address to have the codes sent to without any problems.
