Dead cursor

After about one month of use my Kindle cursor would no longer scroll. It would select the item on which it rested, but would not move to any other selection item on any menu.
I called Amazon support and after several software reboot attempts, they determined it had to be replaced. I don't really know when my new Kindle will arrive because of backorder issues, but at least they are replacing it on 1 day shipping.
Has anyone else had cursor problems? I hope not. Everything else about my Kindle has been working A-1.
