New translation of Stanislaw Lem's Solaris down to $1.99
Until recently, the only available translation of Solaris, of which a movie was made by the acclaimed Russian director Andrei Tarkovsky (and which some regard as the Russian '2001'), was a purportedly terrible dual translation from a French edition of the book, rather than the original Polish. This new ebook edition is a new translation direct from the source material, as detailed here in an article in the Guardian newspaper last year:
It just showed up from EreaderIQ as having dropped to $1.99 in the US, and £1.30 in the UK, which is pretty good for a book regarded as a bona fide classic of sf. Link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B006JWE0MC

Thanks! I don't read much sci-fi, but do like some classic stuff, so I picked it up to try.
It's also available for $1.99 at BN in the US.
(hopefully affiliate link free, since I typed in www.barnesandnoble.com by hand and went from there)
