Images and iPad 3
I recently converted a printed book with lots and lots of images to Kindle format. I basically set all the images so that they looked good when viewed "one to one" -- one pixel in the file to one pixel on screen. This is what Kindle for iPad did by default and it's what Kindle also did (kindle enlarges small images, but that's another story). All these images either didn't have size tags, or had width and height tags that matched the actual pixel dimensions of the image.
My question has to do with Kindle for iPad 3. Does anybody know whether the kindle software scales images up so they look similar on ipad 2 and 3? The retina display has double the pixels. What happens to images? Do they look much smaller? Many thanks to anybody who can shed some light. |
