Books successfully transferred but not showing up??
Ok so please bare with me. I have had a Sony Reader for years(OG Sony) and just recently lost it or had it stolen, and have inherited my fathers Kobo Touch with I am not too familiar with.

I started by restoring to factory default, and used both Adobe Digital editions as well as just using drag/drop mycomputer. When I plug the kobo in and bring it up in MyComputer, a Digital Editions folder shows all my books, as well as in the main folder is the book I drag/dropped, but not a single one is showing on the Kobo when trying to read?

I feel like there is some easy fix but don't know what it is.

oh gawwwd I miss my Sony.. *sigh*

Did you eject the reader and get the "processing content" screen? As far as I know you cannot add and then read books on the kobo touch without disconnecting first.

Have done that a few times, it says procssing content but no content ever shows up. Including both the books transferred via ADE as well as just drag/drop in my computer. However all show up when I connect the device and open the folder via mycomputer.. grrrr

That's weird. As soon as you add them and it finishes processing content, they should be right in the main carousel of the 5 most recent books. Of course they would be listed in the library as well. They are clearly on the device but it doesn't see them. Bizarre.

I helped a friend who had a similar problem a couple of days ago. Did a factory reset, updated the firmware using the desktop application and then loaded the books again... So far, so good, it hasn't done the same thing again.

Thanks for the advice guys. I have tried factory reset, but haven't done anything with the computer software(and have had it a long time unused)

Am in process of doing another factory reset, uninstalling, downloading and installing new softwarre. Will keep you posted.
