Synopsis:
Seeking to avenge his uncle's murder, Doc Savage and his daring crew become involved in a desperate hunt for the lost treasure of the pirate Henry Morgan. Along the way he meets his only remaining living relative—his uncle's daughter, Patricia Savage. But stalking them every inch of the way is the archfiend El Rabanos and his strange ally—the werewolf's paw!

If you enjoy pulp action thrillers, they're great. Of course like most in this genre, the books are formulaic. But it's still an excellent way to waste a couple of hours

They essentially were meant for the same audience for comic books, before there were comic books. Which ultimately killed these things off.

I'm not sure of the publishing schedule of Doc Savage, but The Shadow was published twice a month. So its stories were written in two weeks, for about a 180-200 page novel (in paperback terms)

Doc Savage had a monthly schedule starting in March 1933 until the summer of 1949.
