Slow Syncing
I dont use the built in Kobo app very often nowadays, but have just read a couple of books using it and noticed that is is very slow when syncing (updating library/updating reading life)

when i first got my Vox it used to be about 10 seconds, now it takes a minute or more to do the same

is this because my library is bigger or does it download a sample of all the recommendations it generates

Yep - bigger library could be the issue (don't think the recommendations has anything to do with it). Mine takes a while, but usually improves when I set it down beside my wireless router!
