Those Lazy Sundays - Horror Novel - Free until Sunday, 5/20/2012

I just published my first novel, Those Lazy Sundays, on Amazon. It's a free download until this Sunday (May 20th, 2012). As a fairly new writer (I've written off and on for years, but never really 'published' anything aside from a few stories on forums / websites), I'm very much interested in feedback. So anyone interested in the horror / undead / zombie genre, feel free to grab a copy!

Download here.

Here is a brief synopsis:

Product Description
The year is 2012, the place is the quiet countryside of Vermont. On a lazy fall Sunday afternoon, six students decide to take the scenic route through the New England countryside on their way home from a college retreat. After hitting a pedestrian who was mysteriously standing in the road, two decide to stay with the horribly mutilated victim while their friends speed into town for help.

As the sun goes down, the two students begin to realize that something isn't quite right with their victim, while their friends find that the idyllic village of Allentown has become a wasteland of death... and undeath.

Gripping and horrific, Those Lazy Sundays depicts the zombie outbreak at its infancy, showing how a few normal people coming from a life of affluence, stability, and security, deal with the hard reality of death, and a life that might not be returning.

Thank you Stormchild! I will very much appreciate your comments, feedback and suggestions. (Obviously I hope you actually enjoy the book as well, but time is precious and books are plentiful, so thanks for giving this one some of your time).

Great. FYI, when you do read, you might want to update the copy... I uploaded a new version today. Just fixes a few typos and such. One thing I am rapidly learning in my first foray into publishing is that as much time as I spend editing it myself, I need to get a second pair of eyes on it before publishing next time.

I'm not familiar with Boyd Morrison, worth reading? What genre does he write in?

He is an action/thriller writer. A very good one. He will appeal to everyone.

This might be a dumb question, but can it be downloaded to non-Kindle devices? I am just looking for a new read and would be happy to provide feedback but only have an iRiver Story device.

Hmm... It is only on the Amazon Kindle store right now, but it is DRM-free. So I think you would just have to convert to ePub with Calibre and it should work. I'm honestly not real familiar with iRiver, though, but I'm pretty sure that would work.
