Not all imported ebooks are shown in the library
Hi,

I have imported a number of ebooks into the library.
Realized that not all of the are shown in the application,,,,after a while.
The ebooks are in the calibre folder structure and I can import them again....

Any reason why and any good workarounds ?

Basic rule: Stay out of the Calibre (Library) folder. At least until you have a FIRM understanding of what won't muck things up.

Any book that Calibre did not place into those folders is un-documented by Calibre. Right click the Library Icon and run the Maintenance tool. It will list those type of problems.


OR

If it does not say 'all books' to the right of 'Restrict to' box, you may have a search or restriction set that limits what you see.

Hi,

Agree that the folder structure should be left alone.
I did run the maint tool and got a list of ebooks under extra titles.
Any idea on why the titles are moved here ?
What is the best way to solve this situation ? Even when checkmarking the title the option to fix is greyed out.

Appreciate the help

2 choices... Depending on whether there is a OPF file in the same folder.

Yes: select Rebuild from the Maintenance menu

No: Move those books Out of the Calibre Library (use Explorer), the add them in using one of the standard Calibre methods
