Because people use KT. They have used KT since it was announced. All Kindles have been K1, K2, K3, K4 or KNT.

I am sorry that it bothers some folks that the Kindle Touch is abbreviated as the KT. It really is not that big of a deal.

I think it is safe to say that any product by Booken probably needs to be spelled out because most people are not familiar with the brand.

Well, it seems we have to agree that some people use KT for Kobo Touch and others for Kindle Touch - some for either, depending on the situation. So if it's unclear, people will have to define what they meant by KT.
