Percentage of all books sold

Has anyone seen updated numbers for spring 2012 showing what percentage of all books sold are ebooks? I recall someone somewhere (I can't find the article again) saying something like in spring 2012 ebooks account for 25% of all books sold and that by spring 2014 ebooks are expected to account for the majority of all books sold.

We're only a month into Spring. You're a little premature to be asking that.

Most recent AAP I can find show eBooks being the highest seller but not higher than Hardcover + MMP + Trade paperback combined. They are February numbers

http://www.publishers.org/press/30/

Also note that these are just the numbers coming from the Publishing houses.

Something like what a book reader gave the link to but something as up to date as I can get it. The article has the date April 2011, is there anything a little more up to date then that. We are twelve months beyond April 2011.

ah, I'm an idiot today. I could have swore those were 2012 numbers.

I found January. That really doesn't get you far into spring though.

So Total Trade was $503.5m and eBooks were $99.5M - almost 20%

This of course only covers AAP member publishers.

I'm giving up on trying to do numbers today. You are right, I picked up just the adult eBook vs Total Trade.

Somebody else take over the math before I hurt myself.
