No space left on device
I have recently been getting the following error every time I try to edit a book's details.
calibre, version 0.8.47
ERROR: Unhandled exception: IOError:[Errno 28] No space left on device
Traceback (most recent call last):

IOError: [Errno 28] No space left on device
It was giving me an error message saying either the hard disk is full or the database is full. The HDD was pretty full but I've now cleared quite a bit of space & now I'm just getting the above error message.
I have about 5,500 books in my library but I thought I could have a lot more.
Can anybody help me? Please!

EDIT2: I wonder if Calibre is overloading your temp directory when you edit the details and the temp directory is causing your disk overload. That is what caused my IO ERROR and that looked the same as yours.
EDIT: you can also change the temp directory as shown here:

Unfortunately I haven't got a clue what you're talking about!
All way above my head.
I need help like "Delete everything & start again" - basic stuff like that.
