I'm new to both Calibre and this forum so please bear with me.
I have written a novel in Word.
I converted it to PDF and then loaded that into Calibre.
I have also tried RTF as the source.
I convert to EPUB format.
In the Look and Feel options for converting, I selected 'Remove Spacing between paragraphs' and set the Indent Size to negative (this is supposed to use the source indent).
I also Enabled Heuristic Processing with the option to 'Delete Blank Lines between paragraphs' selected.
The option is working by removing blank lines between paragraphs, however all my indents have also been removed.
So where I would like a Chapter to begin like this :
This is a new chapter.
...It is the story about a man.
..."Hello," the man said.
..."Hello," she replied.
This is what the result looks like :
This is a new chapter.
It is the story about a man.
"Hello," the man said.
"Hello," she replied.
If I apply a setting of 1.5 em for the indent, then my new paragraph at the start of a Chapter or a new topic in the middle of a chapter has indents applied where I don't want them.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
