Books readers and iPad3 display
The Kindle app has been updated to the higher resolution display.
iBooks has, of course.
Although Stanza hasn't been updated, and some of the UI elements look a bit blocky, it displays the book text at the new higher resolution.
Unfortunately Bluefire Reader does not. It must use its own custom text display routines, and the difference is striking.

Here is (roughly) the same text in iBooks and Bluefire.

The Bluefire dev explained it before. They have to create their own rendering algorithms because of ADE. Also explains why Bluefire is slower compared to other reader apps.

Stanza does displays chinese characters in low resolution on the new iPad.
No problem with western characters.

I emailed the developers and they said update will be available soon. I hope they implement some new features

Nice pictures thanks the fonts on the Kindle look crisp.

My wife's iPad does not seem so grainy, is the graininess more pronounced on the iPad 3 because of the better resolution?
