If you get your trial version of PressReader from the Play Store, they will offer you the first month for 5.99$ (with all papers, not just Wall Street Journal), cancel any time...
The $5.99 offer has to be taken while the trial (24 hrs) is still active.

Ok, so I thought that reading newspapers sucked. But also signed up for trials of two magazines, which I've yet to receive, I was under the impression they'd come via Zinio, but nothing so far.

Well, I find that magazines are hard to read on my Vox, I usually use my Tab for both news & mags. Zinio does have some free mags that you can get directly from them, it's easier if you sign up for them on the computer. You can then download them to the app on your Vox (immediately).

I do that. I LOVE zinio. I've sent a mail to kobo regarding this. Not impressed so far really. Think I'll just stick with Zinio, the bookstore and Kindle app. I love reading mags on my Vox as the zoom feature is quite handy and it is so clear. I've pretty much given up on printed mags.

Zinio will send you deals when your subscription runs out if you don't renew right away. I got a monthly women's magazine for 9.99$ for the entire year (they wanted $29.99 originally) and on a separate occasion a $5 off coupon for a new subscription. Much cheaper than the printed mags if you like reading on your tablet.

Check your local library to see what they might have available for free to you. A local library has a subscription to PressDisplay which has over a thousand newspapers available from around the world.
