I am adding a bullet list

with photos/graphics next to it. The bullets display in the photos/graphics. I have tried expanding the margins of the floating photo in the style sheet but it didn't work. If I don't float the image then I don't have text on the side of it, which is the desired look. Any suggestion on how to fix. I have just been expanding the images themselves with extra white space, to get around for now, but would like a solution.
Found the solution - the style sheet should have worked, but the book I am going from listed the order of the margins incorrectly. I would delete this out - but didn't know how.
