Sort Authors by First Name on Tag Browser

Hi, I've been using Calibre for the past 6 months now and it has been wonderful. However, I would like to sort the authors in the Tag Browser by their first names instead. Is there anyway to do it? 'cause I've tried tweaking it to author sort and its still the same order except it looks even more horrible with that comma...

Help please...

You want all the Davids grouped?
Oh Well

In the Tag Browser: Right click: Manage Authors

Note: This affect all of Calibre Author sorts, book transfers.
I just realized that you cant go in that direction!

Well, I'm using a netbook and the screen is too small for me to allow the full authors' name to show on the tag browser. It will definitely be easier on me if I know how much further I have to scroll to reach say "Micheal Crichton" by just looking at the first names.

I've tried managing authors, but it doesn't do anything to the order in the tag.. and I don't wanna risk copying the author sort either. Any other ideas? Help!

The authors section of the tag browser is sorted using "author_sort". That cannot be changed without changing calibre's source code.

It seems that you want authors sorted by "FN LN". In that case, you should set the author_sort values to FN LN instead of "LN, FN". Of course, this will also change how authors are sorted on the library grid.
