manage series plugin question
I've recently read reference to the manage series plugin, but I can't find any information about what it does for me that the series name and number fields on the Edit Metadata screen and the Series column in the library view can't do. Can anyone explain it to me, because I've got a lot of series!

I haven't been using it very long but it came in handy for me when I was first adding books to a series. You can see a list of all of the books at once, order them correctly with Move Up/Move Down buttons, automatically number some or all of them at once.
It also remembers the order you select the books. If you use the Ctrl key to select them in the correct order and then click Manage Series, they will appear in the dialog in that order.

In addition, you can add empty books to fill in (place holder) missing volumes.
You can rename (correct) a series without getting a new sequence (assumes no missing or locked at the gaps))
