I'll third DUNE. I have seen the awful movie, but I would love to read the book. I think I never read it because the movie was so bad.

I second Ender's Game.

If Sherkanner's post is nullified, I will nominate Ender's Game.

The book is a lot better then the movie. Even the mini-series wasn't all that good.

I'll also third Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? I love PKD. His story concepts are so interesting. Blade Runner was the movie of this book. Interesting, dark, depressing, depending on the movie ending one saw. I saw The Adjustment Bureau that was a PKD short story. Good as well.

It has already has a third. Would you like to use your nomination for something else?

sherkanner has edited post #13 and Enders Game is now fully nominated with a 2nd by GA Russell and a 3rd by Nyssa.

Post #1 and #2 are now updated through post #53.

We now have 9 fully nominated books.

I feel so powerful. One last nomination vote in hand and a few books at two.

Blindsight had me until it talked about genetically engineered vampire.

I'm going to third Halting State by Charles Stross and I'm putting it on my potential reads list because it just sounds so geeky that I'd love it.
