United States: Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights and JFK's Inaugural Address

I was searching PG and, out of curiosity, looked to see what was the first text uploaded. It was the U.S. Declaration of Independence. The second was the Bill of Rights. The third was JFK’s Inaugural Address.

So here they are.

The prose is wonderful and makes one long to live in a republic with such high ideals.
(I don’t live in a republic and don’t care to enter into a discussion of whether the ideals have ever been realized.)

As a side note the Declaration, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights (which are the first 10 amendments to the Constitution), and many more US historical documents are in volume 43 of the Harvard Classics.
