I don't quite understand what you mean by zoom percentage. If you're talking about what zoom level the PDF opens in using your PDF viewer, then just zoom out.
The device profile section of the conversion settings could be of interest to you. PDF page size is set in those profiles according to what best fits the target device.

The only good reason I could think of to convert to PDF is if you want to output it for your regular computer viewing/printing. In which case, I would convert the original file to RTF format, touch up as needed, then convert to PDF via any standard PDF file conversion utility -- I use CutePDF Writer myself.

Thank you all. I am converting to PDF to output it for regular computer viewing/printing. Converting to RTF and then printing to PDF worked beautifully!
