Buying Kindle from Amazon Warehouse

Has anyone purchased a Kindle 3 and/or the lighted leather case from the Amazon Warehouse?

The prices seem to be really good, but I'm concerned about whether the product will be in mint condition, and whether or not the standard warranty will apply to the Kindle and to the lighted case.

I've also considered one of these and I would say you need to call Amazon to find out what the warranty is. Condition will depend on what the condition was when the original seller returned it, but I would guess that most would be mint.

@Melissa1919...I bought my kindle 2 from the Amazon warehouse and it was fine, I didn't have any issues with it at all....I don't remember what the warrenty was but I seem to remember being able to purchase extra coverage if wanted. The prices were amazing.

I bought my lighted case from them when they had a $15 sale last year, it still looks like it is in perfect condition. Just be sure to read what condition the item is in from the description, my case was "missing manual".

The current ones seem to be missing the charger, including just the cord.

I've bought my K3 3G for 160 dollars via Amazon Warehouse.

Came with no charger as it was detailed on the site.

Amazon checked and said these come with the 1 year warranty but that you cannot add the extended 2 years.

Things could have changed since you got yours, so no apology necessary, at least not to me. Last I checked Squaretrade does warranties on refurb, at least they did for nook.
