poll: What would you pay 25% more for if your ereader had this feature?
Highlighted books can be saved after I have made notes. The inability to do this 'drives me crazy'. Hey, I'd pay 35% more for this (or wait 2 years for R&D to figure it out?) |

It's a fill-in-the-blank question, so I'm not sure that a poll would do the trick...
I'd pay more for stat tracking. Only the Kobo has it right now, but I'm very seriously considering switching based on that alone. I'm very fascinated by the idea of graphing my reading habits.

Wheels. I'd pay 25% more for one with wheels that I could drag around behind me like luggage. Or maybe beer on tap.... crap! I obviously really need to think about this a bit more.

^ Hey I second the wheels thing though I would change up beer dispenser to vodka.
![]() Seriously, I might pay 25% more happily if the devices were a bit more ruggedized and more immune to unhappy weather conditions and oopsie screen damage, all without totally compromising vital things like size, weight and overall aesthetic design. My logic is simple: even the cheapest used paperback can be read without undue fear in rainy, wet, snowy conditions. Might make a lot of cover manufacturers unhappy, but I daresay they would still do OK as folks might want to personalize their gear anyways... Last edited by lestatar; 07-05-2011 at 09:22 AM. I'd pay 25% more for a more robust e-ink screen. Not that I have ever personally fractured my screen, but I see far too many "Is this screen broken" threads to be entirely comfortable with transporting my Reader no matter what precautions I take.

I'd pay more if the screen could somehow glow in the dark, without sacrificing battery life, and without causing any eyestrain. Just a slight glow for use in dim light, not necessarily in pitch dark.

I have a Kindle 3, and I'd pay to have the old Content Manager resurrected from the Kindle 1. I wish people would quit developing games for the Kindle and develop something genuinely useful for a change.

Also, a way to export kindle notes into MS Word's "Track Changes" format would be nice...

First I don't get your question. What does "what would you pay 25% more if..."? Are you trying to ask simply "would you pay 25% more if..."? If that's the case, why are you asking "what"? ![]() Second, I don't get your self-reply... whay can't you save highlighted books after you made notes? All SONYs support that and so do iPads... and I am speaking about the devices I use... I am sure there are plenty others. Anyhow.... I would pay 25% more for an eink device with a built in light with durable battery.
