(La Vendetta) Translated by Katharine Prescott Wormeley A short novella of nearly 25,000 words, set among the Corsican community in Paris during the Napoleonic era and early Restoration. A young Corsican girl meets a proscribed officer under dramatic circumstances, just following the restoration of Louis XVIII, and they fall in love. Unfortunately, their families are in vendetta… I have added a picture, a TOC and reformatted, replacing some accents and italics.
