What are your favorite app sites

Since we cannot use android marketplace, I'm interested in finding out what app sites other edge users prefer.

I like app sites which:

+ allow me to search by rating, price, upload/creation date, popularity - it's hard to scroll through 1634 apps in a single category to find just the right one

+ clearly show what requirements are necessary, e.g android 2.2, GPS, accelerometer, etc.

It right even be nice if we had some say about what Apps got added to the entourage apps store - being edge owner approved!

I recommend the Amazon App Store. They have a decent selection, and in addition they're giving away a paid app away every day for free. There's instructions to get it in the Apps section of the forum I believe.

Amazon has some DRM issues though; some apps may not work while you're not connected to the Net because they can't verify your license with Amazon. My favorites are androidfreeware.com for free apps and SlideMe.org for paid (and free) apps.

That is fine if you are in the US - Amazon hasn't opened it up to the rest of the world yet.

Also, the Amazon app store sometimes has older versions (repligo, for example)

Thanks Of course, that's why those three posts are labeled "Welcome Basket" and permanently located at the top of that forum
