Error code when trying to convert a MOBI to an EPUB

I am trying to convert a MOBI file to an EPUB in Calibre, it keeps failing, I had a look at the clipboard and it seems to go wrong at this point

Python function terminated unexpectedly
unsupported operand type(s) for +: 'float' and 'str' (Error Code: 1)

Has anyone seen this error, and knows what I can do to be able to convert this book?

Thanks Manichean, hopefully I have posted the error log correctly.

I have tried to reconvert the MOBI to a MOBI but that produces the same error log, which is shown below.

The book is originally a DRM protected AZW file which I am trying to convert to a epub, so it can go on a epub reader as hubby is not allowed to take a Kindle to work anymore (because its internet enable, even with the internet turned off!)

I have the Calibre plugins installed which convert from AZW to MOBI at the point of adding to Calibre, and have already converted over 100 books and this is my only problem one. I am using Calibre version 8.0

That's a strange error. Can you open a bug report and attach the MOBI file to it. I'd like to take a look at it. http://calibre-ebook.com/bugs

Or wait for the next calibre release, which will have a workaround for this.
