IFA 2007: PVI demonstrates flexible E Ink (video)
Care for some more intriguing video clips of what's in for us in tomorrow's world of (bendable) e-paper? Slashgear visited the PVI booth at this year's IFA conference in Berlin and shot the following two tasty video clips for us.Most interestingly, the PVI guy interviewed mentions that his company will be ready to supply the final version of their flexible E Ink screens to companies like Sony and iRex by mid-2008. And - let's take this all with a grain of salt - 2009 should mark the year when E Ink finally turns color. We'll believe that when we see it. Related: Video of full color E Ink display in action |

"Wow, that is really amazing" <-- was the guy referring to the technology or to the Asian girl on display?

I think this technology is starting to advance a lot faster than most people expect it too... Just look at that YouTube clip of the full-color and video eink screen. That's just damn amazing.
I honestly don't care that much about the flexibility of it, I'm more interested in color, refresh rates, and perhaps a touch screen.

Ditto. Though one indirect advantage of flexibility may be its robustness compared to the standard E Ink screens which require a strong backplane for protection.
