Not to fear because you will still be able to have full use of your device. You will need to bypass the Setup Procedure and manually setup your device including Wi-Fi, Date/Time, and Tablet and Reader Calibration. How To Bypass The Setup Procedure: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjbZP8ckmKI http://www.mobileread.com/forums/att...8&d=1316487782 Setup Wi-Fi: See the PDF attachment at the bottom of this post. If you are using free public wireless (Wi-Fi) in a location such as an airport or coffee shop you may need to open the Browser and accept the terms of use for the free Wi-Fi connection. Any application that requires an Internet connection could be affected by this situation. Note: The eDGe will work with a Mobile Hotspot. After you become more familiar with the eDGe see these threads for more information: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=145835 http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=150599 (pay attention to post # 27) Set the Date and Time: 1. Select Settings. 2. Select Date and Time. 3. Press Select time zone. 4. Scroll through the time zones listed and select your time zone. Time zones are listed in order by their relationship to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Note: The eDGe used to synchronize its time with the Entourage servers. Once you become more familiar with the eDGe, I recommend you scroll down to System Utilities in this thread and download the Clocksync App which will help you correct for time drift which will occur over time. Calibrate the Tablet Screen: 1. Select Settings. 2. Select Display. 3. Select Tablet Screen Calibrator. Calibrate the Reader Screen: 1. Select Settings. 2. Select Display. 3. Select Reader Screen Calibrator. Note: When calibrating the reader screen, it is best to touch the calibration points with the stylus exactly as you would write with it instead of a 90 degree angle as this will make writing in the Journal App more accurate. Setup E-mail Attached at the bottom of this post are procedures for setting up e-mail automatically and manually for many popular providers. Try the automatic setup first. Some providers like Yahoo have to be setup manually. Syncing GMail, Google Calendar, Contacts: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=135866 ************************************************** ***************** How To Update Or Replace The eDGe Android Operating System Read this entire section before proceeding with an Operating System Update or Replacement. Badger, Coyote, and Dingo are Entourage custom builds of Android Operating System 1.6. Ermine is an Entourage custom build of Android Operating System 2.2 (Froyo). A lot of people confuse updating and rooting. These are two different things. Rooting allows privileged access to parts of the Android OS that are off access to the average user. While rooting is not difficult, access to the root can cause severe damage to your eDGe if you don't know what you are doing. Advanced users often use root access to customize the Android OS and add features left out by the manufacturer. Updating your eDGe's Operating System is not the same as rooting. Tips For Overcoming Installation Problems The key to successfully updating your eDGe's Operating System requires planning and preparation. Hundreds of owners have successfully updated their eDGe with little or no problems. Others are content with the original Operating System. - Make sure your eDGe is plugged in !!! - The Full Operating System or Update file MUST be renamed to update.zip in order for the procedure to work. By default Windows will add the zip extension so make sure the file is NOT update.zip.zip like post # 3 in this thread: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=146299 - Make sure the update.zip file is in the root of the USB drive or SD card and NOT in a folder. - Make sure you have ONLY either a USB drive or an SD card installed in the eDGe, NOT both. I prefer a USB drive with an indicator light because I can see it start flashing which lets me know the update is being processed and going to be installed. - Hold the MENU and ROTATE buttons, power on the eDGe, count to 10 and release the buttons. After the Three Dot boot up sequence you should see the Updating Software message. Be PATIENT as the Updating Software screen will NOT pop up immediately after releasing the MENU and ROTATE buttons. - If you need to revert to Dingo you will need to do the procedure TWICE. The first time you run the procedure the eDGe will appear to hang up. This is NORMAL. After approximately 30 minutes, use a paperclip to Reset the eDGe which will power it down. Leave either the USB drive or SD card with the update.zip file and perform the MENU and ROTATE power on procedure again. Again, hold the MENU and ROTATE and count to 10 and release. The second time you do the procedure you should get the Three Dot boot up sequence and the Updating Software screen followed by a reboot and the Dingo OS. READ AND HEED * While the chance of problems is minimal, update at your own risk. * Download the CORRECT file for the Full Size eDGe or Pocket eDGe. * These are two different files and are NOT interchangeable. * USING THE WRONG FILE WILL DAMAGE YOUR EDGE!!! If you encounter serious problems and brick your EDGe there are some tips which may help you recover and can be found in this post. How To Update Your eDGe From Android 1.6 (Dingo) to Android 2.2 (Ermine) Entourage released the Android 2.2 Ermine update as a Beta only. The Beta is fairly polished for the Pocket eDGe and has minor issues on some full size eDGe. Most owners, including myself, will tell you it is worth doing. I own 2 PEs and and an EE and all three have the Ermine update. On the PE the update is practically flawless. Be aware some PE owners have reported a White Screen of Death (WSOD) which THEY have associated with updating: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=144528 http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=150231 However, there's no concrete evidence to fully support this claim and it may be more of a hardware issue: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=142249 http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=153321 On some EEs (not all) the update can cause hibernation (http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=134248), camera (http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=137827), and browser crashing issues (http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=135518). If you upgrade an EE, I highly recommend you download and use the Opera Mini browser for everyday use. I use Opera Mini exclusively on my EE and it has NEVER crashed. Checkout these threads if your EE exhibits hibernation problems: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=141537 http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=138041 http://www.ratshome.net/android/poweredge.html Unfortunately, there is no known work around for the camera problem exhibited by the EE when updated to Ermine. Download the CORRECT update for the eDGe or Pocket eDGe. These are two different files and are NOT interchangeable. USING THE WRONG FILE WILL DAMAGE YOUR EDGE!!! I highly recommend you download the update via a PC. The update is a large file and will take a little time to download. Full Size eDGe Ermine-0.9 Update: http://www.ethanphoenix.com/entourag...ermine-0.9.zip OR http://dustyfeet.com/edge/e-update.zip.ermine-0.9.zip Pocket eDGe Ermine-0.9 Update: http://www.ethanphoenix.com/entourag...ermine-0.9.zip OR http://dustyfeet.com/edge/p-update.zip.ermine-0.9.zip OR There is a user-modded Ermine update by pablob that contains several enhancements over the Entourage Ermine update (e.g. More App Storage, Google Play). *** It is for the Pocket Edge ONLY. *** It does NOT require a rooted PE: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=159872 *** The Ermine Update Instructions are attached below. The hyperlinks are invalid. Hold the MENU and ROTATE buttons, turn on the eDGe, count to 10 and release the buttons. Be PATIENT as the Updating Software screen will NOT pop up immediately after releasing the MENU and ROTATE buttons. After the Three Dot boot up sequence you should get an Updating Software screen followed by a reboot. To start using your eDGe after the update is installed, press and hold the Lock icon and drag it to the opposite side of the screen *** How To Replace The Full Size eDGe Badger or Coyote Operating System with Dingo OR Revert From Ermine Back to Dingo The procedure for replacing an older OS with Dingo or reverting from Ermine to Dingo is the same. If you replace the Badger or Coyote Operating System with Dingo you may need to re-perform the Setup procedures detailed above because all user data and configurations may be lost. Back up all critical data before proceeding. If you do not like Ermine or you have a problem during the upgrade process you can revert back to Dingo. If you replace the Ermine Operating System with Dingo you may need to re-perform the Setup procedures detailed above because all user data and configurations may be lost. Back up all critical data if possible before proceeding. Interesting enough, when I restored my PE back to Dingo I did not have to re-register it. The only thing that popped up was the Reader Calibration. To install Dingo you will need to do the procedure TWICE. Hold the MENU and ROTATE buttons, power on the eDGe, count to 10 and release the buttons. After the Three Dot boot up sequence you should see the Updating Software message. Be PATIENT as the Updating Software screen will NOT pop up immediately after releasing the MENU and ROTATE buttons. The first time you do the procedure the eDGe will appear to hang up. This is NORMAL. After approximately 30 minutes, use a paperclip to Reset the eDGe which will power it down. Leave either the USB drive or SD card with the update.zip file and perform the MENU and ROTATE power on procedure again. Again, hold the MENU and ROTATE and count to 10 and release the buttons. The second time you do the procedure you should get the Three Dot boot up sequence and the Updating Software screen followed by a reboot and the Dingo OS. The official Entourage instructions (Revert from Ermine Back to Dingo) are attached as a PDF file at the bottom of this post. Make sure you download the CORRECT file for either the eDGe or Pocket eDGe. These are two different files and are NOT interchangeable. USING THE WRONG FILE WILL DAMAGE YOUR EDGE!!! I highly recommend you download the update via a PC. The update is a large file and will take a little time to download. Full Size eDGe Dingo Full Operating System: http://www.ethanphoenix.com/entourag...ate.golden.zip Pocket eDGe Dingo Full Operating System: http://www.ethanphoenix.com/entourag...ate.golden.zip How To Update Dingo on the Full Size eDGe or the Pocket eDGe Download the CORRECT update for the eDGe or Pocket eDGe. These are two different files and are NOT interchangeable. USING THE WRONG FILE WILL DAMAGE YOUR EDGE!!! I highly recommend you download the update via a PC. The update is a large file and will take a little time to download. Follow this procedure to manually update your Dingo Operating System to the latest version: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/25986798/How...e%20Update.pdf Full Size eDGe Dingo Update: http://ethanphoenix.com/entourageedg...2.0/update.zip Pocket eDGe Dingo Update: http://ethanphoenix.com/entourageedg...Dge/update.zip Universal Allmine Update Works on both the full size eDGe and the Pocket eDGe. Includes access to Google Play. http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=174641 Tips for Recovering a Bricked eDGe Try re-installing the CORRECT Operating System Update first. In post # 12 of this thread (http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=170511) an eDGe owner was able to recover their Pocket Edge with the Dingo Update. Make sure you use the CORRECT update. If you have Dingo installed, use the Dingo update. If you updated to Ermine, try re-installing the Ermine update. OR The best method is to install the Full Dingo OS and upgrade to Ermine. Download the CORRECT Golden Dingo Operating System for the EE or PE. Installing the incorrect file will only lead to bigger problems. Follow the directions above on reverting back from Ermine to Dingo. You will need to do the update procedure TWICE. The first time the eDGe will appear to hang up. The second time you do the procedure should get the Three Dot boot up sequence and the Updating Software screen followed by a reboot and the Dingo OS. If you are attempting to restore your eDGe with the Full Golden Dingo Operating System and it just doesn't seem to want to work after a reasonable effort, the recovery installer might be the source of the problem. See post # 2 of this thread (http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=143035) and download either the modified EE or PE version (make sure it is the CORRECT version) and try it again. Carefully read the very first post, especially step # 4. I suggest you read the entire thread. Several owners were able to recover their eDGe using darkgue's solution along with emusan's modified Golden Dingo file. OR If you own a Pocket Edge another option is to follow the directions in post # 11 of this thread: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=162905. Also, check out post # 15 in the same thread where another owner was able to recover their Pocket eDGe using the same procedure. Unfortunately, this procedure will result in the loss of all personal data and you will have to you will need to re-perform the Setup procedures detailed above. OR If you failed to heed all the warnings in this post and think you may have installed an INCORRECT file (e.g. used a Pocket eDGe update on a Full Size eDGe) look for a reverse / mirror Entourage image upon boot up (see posts # 1, # 7, # 9, and # 10 of this thread: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=148857 Another thread which shows the damage of using the wrong file: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=154656 Unfortunately, Entourage did not provide a recovery partition on the eDGe. The procedure to recover from using the wrong update file involves making a serial cable (http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...=145540&page=7 - post # 94) AND following the directions in post # 88 in the same thread: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...07#post1781507 AND take a look at post # 62 in the same thread: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...=145540&page=5 Basically you use the USB to DB-9 cable from your PC, plug one end of the DB-9 to DB-9 cable into the DB-9 end of the USB cable, and chop off the other end and mate it to the 3 pin header cable which will plug into the eDGe's service port. Cable Wiring: DB9 Pin 2 (RX) --> Header Pin 1 (TX) DB9 Pin 5 (Gnd) --> Header Pin 2 (Gnd) DB9 Pin 3 (TX) --> Header Pin 3 (RX) If you identify and label the wires on pins 2, 3, and 5 beforehand on the DB-9 / DB-9 cable (buy one without a molded shell or a cheap plastic shell which can be easily broken if possible) you can just twist and tape those wires to the wires on pins 1, 2, and 3 of the header cable and eliminate the need for soldering. OR If you or someone else can open the DB-9 end of the USB / DB-9 cable and carefully identify and label the wires attached to pins 2, 3, and 5 of the DB-9 connector, you can wire those directly to the header cable wires and eliminate the DB-9 to DB-9 cable. OR You may be able to cut and separate the male pins on a prefabricated 3-pin header cable like this one (http://www.amazon.com/3-pin-Female-M.../dp/B005TX3JWE) and plug these into pins 2, 3, and 5 of a DB-9 to USB cable ([http://www.amazon.com/RS-232-DB-9-Ca...545311&sr=1-27) with a DB-9 gender changer (http://www.amazon.com/Your-Cable-Sto...536119&sr=1-15) and eliminate the need for soldering and the DB-9 to DB-9 cable. Notice on the gender changer the pins are clearly numbered. Good luck and hopefully you will recover your eDGe! If you are unable to recover it you may be able to recoup some of the cost of your purchase by selling your bricked eDGe on the MobileRead Flea Market. With Entourage out of business, parts (e.g. Battery, Stylus etc.) for the eDGe and Pocket eDGe are at a premium: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=124 Troubleshooting Other Issues Not Associated With Operating System Update or Installation Sometimes the solutions to difficult problems are often the simplest ones we overlook. Many problems can be solved by simply turning the eDGe off and turning it back on: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=164791 http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=169585 Bluetooth: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=178735 http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=149529 E-Ink: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=181893 http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=184871 Reader Screen: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=153732 Sound: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=154450 http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=144878 Wi-Fi: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=167367 http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=138715 http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=135838 http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=150100 http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=178998 ************************************************** ***************** Accessories Cases Cases That Fit the Full Size eDGe: http://www.roocase.com/-/cat-c/c103348.html Cases exclusively for the Kindle or Nook will NOT work with the Pocket eDGe. E-Reader Travel Hard Shell Case that should fit the Pocket eDGe: http://www.bodyglovemobile.com/ Europe http://entourageedge.eu/ Skins Decal Girl has cool skins for the PE and EE: Pocket eDGe: http://www.decalgirl.com/category.vi...ket-eDGe-Skins Full Size eDGe: http://www.decalgirl.com/category.vi...age-eDGe-Skins I personally have Decal Girl skins on two Pocket Edges and a full size Edge. They are easy to apply and the matte finish virtually eliminates fingerprints. The matte finish is $5 extra but well worth the price. Gelaskins are high quality skins for the PE and EE: Pocket eDGe: http://www.gelaskins.com/store/skins...ge_Pocket_eDGe Full Size eDGe: http://www.gelaskins.com/store/skins...enTourage_eDGe Stylus The stylus that comes with the eDGe and Pocket eDGe are pretty good but, if you are going to do a lot of writing using the Journal App you might want to consider a better Wacom Penabled Pen like the Motion Computing LE1600 & LS800 Series. http://www.google.com/products/catal...d=0CIQBEPMCMAQ Replacement Stylus close to OEM: http://www.google.com/products/catal...d=0CIABEPMCMAI SD Card The EE and PE support up to a 32GB SDHC or micro-SDHC card. I recommend you continue to use internal storage as long as possible because when you move your library to the external SD card you lose the use of the 3GB internal SD storage. I use the external SD card for backing up my library and storing less frequently accessed information (e.g. PDFs, downloaded programs etc.). Instructions for moving your library to SD card are attached below. Screen Protector You will definitely want to consider a Screen Protector because over time and repeated use the stylus tends to scratch the screens. I own and recommend XO Skins Screen Protectors: Pocket eDGe: http://xoskins.com/index.php?main_pa...t+edge&x=0&y=0 Full Size eDGe: http://xoskins.com/laptops-tablet-re...reen-protector Here is an excellent thread on screen protectors: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=141507 Owner Recommended Accessories http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=131217 http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=137151 http://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=136845 Extended Warranty Information For U.S. owners, SquareTrade offers extended warranty protection with accidental damage protection for up to 3 years. With Entourage out of business you have no warranty coverage and this is a relatively inexpensive way to protect your investment. Here are some reviews about SquareTrade: http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/seller...=A1B45FIBP2TU2 SquareTrade has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. http://www.bbb.org/greater-san-franc...cisco-ca-35878 SquareTrade warranties can be purchased from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...tablet&x=0&y=0 OR Directly from SquareTrade. Google SquareTrade discount codes and you can usually save at least 20%. http://www.squaretrade.com/pages/ Tips & Tricks - Press and hold the ROTATE button to bring up eDGe Options (e.g. Silent Mode, Power Off etc.) - Press and hold the HOME button to bring up a list of Recent Apps used and quickly access and cycle through those Apps. If you use the HOME button from an open App it's similar to minimizing the App. - To add shortcuts to any of the 5 App screens press MENU, Add (+), and Shortcuts. From here you can place shortcuts to webpages etc. Transfer files from PC to eDGe using wireless: 1) Enable Network Discovery, File Sharing, and Media Sharing on your PC (Windows Vista / 7 / 8: Control Panel --> Network and Internet --> Network and Sharing Center. Network Discovery: On File Sharing: On Public Folder Sharing: On (Read Only) Password Protected Sharing: Off Once this is done, create a Shared Folder on your PC using Windows Explorer (e.g. Edge Apps). To share the Folder right click the created Folder and select Share. You can choose to share this with Everyone or just select users. If your PC has a Firewall or Internet Security Suite you need to make sure it is not blocking access to the Shared Folder. 2) Settings --> Applications --> Check Allow Installation from Unknown Source 3) Download ES File Explorer: http://www.1mobile.com/es-file-explorer-70957.html 4) Install and Open ES File Explorer 5) Press the Menu button and select Show Tabs 6) Select LAN 7) Press the Menu Button and select New and Scan 8) All PCs on the LAN should pop up. Once the PC (s) appear press the back arrow to end the scan. Select the appropriate PC and enter Password as needed and then download files from shared folder on PC to Edge. Much easier than using USB cable. 9) Long press (press and hold) the file you want to copy and select Copy, or you can use multi-select to copy multiple files. Press the little icon in the right hand corner and another set of icons will appear. Press the one with the plus sign to select multiple files. Once all files are selected LONG press (press and hold) one file and Copy. 10) Select Local and the Folder where you want to copy the file to. You can use an existing folder create a New Folder using the Menu button. 11) Use the Swipe Bar at the Bottom of the Screen and long press the File and select Paste or Paste All. Note: If the file is an App the eDGe will automatically download and install it without having to Copy and Paste. There is an App which allows you to do the same thing using a web browser on your PC connected to your wireless network: WiFi File Explorer: http://download.pandaapp.com/android....3-id4561.html Note: You have to Exit the App once you are done using it otherwise it could interfere with screen saving etc. (MENU --> Exit). More specifically from the App description: PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming. ************************************************** ***************** There are plenty of Android Apps on the Internet. Most are either very low cost or FREE (my favorite kind). This is just a small sample of Apps which will work on the eDGe. All of these Apps will work with Ermine (Android 2.2), and almost ALL of them are FREE with a few exceptions. Some of these Apps may not work with Badger, Coyote, or Dingo (Android 1.6). For those running an older Android Operating System, Freeware Lovers is an excellent source for older versions of many popular Apps. If you run across an interesting App feel free to contact me and I'll be happy to add it to the list. A quick note about downloading Apps. Some Apps will download and install automatically. On some websites like Freeware Lovers you may have to press the "Click Here" to download the App and then use the pull-down Notification swipe bar on the top of the tablet to display the App. Press the App and it will launch the installation. Important: On the eDGe select Settings --> Applications --> Check Unknown Sources to allow installation of non-Market applications. App Stores With Store / Market App If your eDGe is running original Android 1.6 or Android 2.2, or even if your device is running the pablob or Allmine update with Google Market access, you will definitely want to take a look at some alternative App stores. These are among the best and they have a Market or Store App which can be installed on the eDGe and is HIGHLY recommended because it makes downloading, installing, and updating Apps a breeze. Many of these sites (e.g. 1Mobile, Panda App, Android Community, Freeware Lovers, SlideMe) allow you to browse and download Apps via a PC and then you can transfer them via wireless to your eDGe as described above. 1Mobile: http://www.1mobile.com/ http://www.1mobile.com/1mobile-market-79873.html Be sure to checkout 1Mobile's Applists. 1Mobile accepts PayPal. 1Mobile Market App for Dingo (Cancel when prompted to Replace Application) : http://dl.dropbox.com/u/25986798/1MobileMarket.apk Note: All the 1Mobile links throughout this thread can be reached using a PC. Android-Themes: http://www.android-themes.com/ Books Digital Rights Management Many electronic books use Digital Rights Management (DRM) to enforce copyright restrictions. Free eBooks do not use DRM. If you plan to purchase books you will want to authorize DRM on your eDGe so you can fully enjoy those books. Download and Install Adobe Digital Editions, Setup an Account, and Authorize to Your Computer: http://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions/ 1. Connect the eDGe to a PC, MAC, or Linux-based PC using the mini-USB cable. Ermine Users will receive a USB Connected Screen. Turn on USB Storage and proceed to Step 5. Dingo Users (MOST new owners) proceed as follows: 2. Once connected to the PC, a USB icon appears in the notification bar at the top of the tablet. 3. Press and hold the notification bar at the top of the LCD screen and drag it down. 4. Select the USB connected message, then select Mount. 5. Your computer should now recognize the eDGe as a drive. *** Once your eDGe is properly mounted to your PC, open Adobe Digital Editions and it will automatically detect the eDGe and offers to authorize it with your Adobe ID. *** 6. Turn Off USB Storage or pull down the notification bar and select Turn Off USB storage. Disconnect the mini-USB cable. To add a DRM e-book from Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) to your Library: Note: Your PC must have ADE installed and authorized to your computer, and DRM must be enabled on your eDGe before attempting this procedure. 1. Purchase and download a book to ADE from a retailer that uses DRM (e.g. Google, Kobo). 2. Connect the eDGe to your PC using the above procedure. 3. In ADE select the book and drag it to the enTourage eDGe. 4. Turn Off USB Storage or pull down the notification bar and select Turn off USB storage. 5. Disconnect the mini-USB cable. 6. Open the Library App. Using the Library drop down menu in the upper left corner, select Storage--> Internal Storage or SDCard--> Digital Editions. 7. Locate the book in the Digital Editions folder then press and hold the book and select Add to Library. Two of my favorite apps:
Springpad - keeps my notes, to-do lists, etc. synced between my EE, PE, and PC and even has an offline mode for Chrome. http://www.springpadit.com Syncness - allows you to sync to a NAS (or PC) so I have folders set up on my NAS that I want to appear on both my PE and EE and it keeps them in sync. Available from Amazon's app store. Quote:

I was able to buy from Handango. I had an account from an old PDA. They don't show the eDGe, and it took some fiddling, but I got them to accept me as an Android (generic) user. Haven't visited them for a while. I'll go see if it still works.
![]() Yup! Just click "Android" on the top left and you don't have to choose a device. Last edited by Filark; 05-12-2011 at 02:35 PM. |

Absolutely not. There is plenty of good information to be found. I just scratched the surface. I wanted to consolidate and share some of the best information I found while setting up my own PE so that new users wouldn't need to spend less time searching and more time doing.

Another resource...
May I suggest that for applications not found in the markets available through the Entourage and Amazon stores, usenet is your friend.
