Troubleshooting Images appended to end of book

Greetings,

I am a newbie to eBook creating and am building a book for Kindle using MobiPocket Creator. I am hand writing HTML and there are a couple of images in the book. When I build the book, everything works as expected, except that the images end up appended to the end of the book. The images are also appear correctly inside the book.

I am previewing the book using the Windows-based Kindle Reader.

Just for the heck of it, give Calibre a try at converting an see how it goes. Also, view your resulting files with Mobipocket Reader instead of Kindle Reader.

While previewing in the Kindle for PC reader is reasonable, it is not a way to preview how the document will look on a Kindle device. For that, you should use Kindle Previewer (http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.htm...cId=1000234621)

This indicates that you have added the images to the manifest of the book (the "Files" page of Mobipocket Creator). Hyperlinked images don't go in the manifest - they are automatically picked up via their hyperlinks. Remove the images from the manifest and all will be well.
