Calibre not recognized when I try to open from Appliacations on Mac Pro

Did you open the downloaded dmg file, then drag the calibre app to the Applications folder icon?

Yes, that is what I did -- I tried dragging it into the Applications folder a second time, both are in the folder but won't open -- same message that they are not recognized
