library ebooks and kindle
I have downloaded free books and sent them to my kindle. However, my public library recently started having ebooks using OverDrive Device Resource Center. Calibre will not let me convert any books from the library. Am I just out of luck or is there something I am missing?

Books from the Library are probably encrypted, Calibre will store all your books, but will not convert encrypted books ....
Have you noticed the Calibre Forum ...
Welcome to Mobileread ….
Do pop into the Kindle Forum for all the tips and tricks.
There is also a Library on Mobileread for some Classic books ....

Good to have your company, Condogram. Yup, libraries end ebooks that are padlocked by DRM software. They won't (legally) convert from one format to the Amazon-exclusive Mobi digital format supported by Kindle. Good luck and best wishes. Neil
