Balzac, Honoré de: La Grenadière, v1, 15 Aug 2007
La Grenadière is a house near Tours. It has been rented by a dying woman, who has to prepare her children to live alone. The story has an elegiac tone and some lovely descriptions of nature. This was taken from a .txt file in PG, so I have added accents, italics and formatting, plus one picture. This work is in the Canadian public domain OR the copyright holder has given specific permission for distribution. It may still be under copyright in some countries.
