It's hard to decide. He's so good in practically everything.

I do like Carrey in almost every movie, but I just adore his role in the Truman show.

I, too, have found him to be much like Jerry Lewis -- that is, not funny at all. The best Jim Carrey moment, in my opinion, is when The End appears on the screen. I find it a great relief, like I imagine ending a session with the Inquisition. Unfortunately, my wife occasionally likes him so I get dragged to the theater. Truthfully, I find it a good time to bring my Sony Reader and get an hour or so worth of reading in.

He's funny for a couple of minutes at a time like when he was on In Living Color. But longer than that he just gets on my nerves.
But he is a pretty good actor in serious roles. |

I liked the time that everybody realised that he couldn't actually act, just pull faces. Wait, I may have dreamt that

My favorite Jim Carrey moments are when the credits are rolling at the end. I'm with Mortis, he (Jim Carrey, not Mortis) has his moments but can get awfully trying and almost banal for the rest of the time.

Place it in its correct timeframe. It was a great original plot. Considering the first show that kind of emulated it was Big Brother and that aired a year later.

Best line from Liar Liar. It introduces the plot of the movie.
Almost as good as Steve Martin's "I faked mine...too!" in All of Me. Last edited by Angst; 04-01-2011 at 03:43 PM. |
