Ah, "Sieh' das Recht in Aktion" oder auch "Watch the Law unfold" !

Im Fairness Hearing zum Google BookSettlement vor dem United States District Court,
Southern District of New York
saßen unter anderem auch Prof. James Grimmelmann von der New York Law School mit einem Team von Studenten.

Er und seine Leute haben gut zugehört und lassen uns nun über sein Blog an einer detaillierten und lebendigen Beschreibung der Geschehnisse (Teil I und Teil II) bei der Anhörung unter dem Vorsitz von Richter Denny Chin teilhaben.

Wir schauen dabei natürlich gern einmal auf die Erklärungen für die Beteiligten aus unserem Lande (z.B. Bundesrepublik, vertreten durch Frau Pakuscher, Bundesjustizministerium; VG Wort, vertreten durch eine Anwältin (Partnerin) der Internationalen Lawfirm Lovells).

Die Umkehrprüfung/-frage "Warum kein Opt-In-Verfahren?" die Anwalt Hadrian R. Katz (für das Internet Archive) zum Schwerpunkt seiner Erklärung gemacht hat gefällt mir auch.

Für den der es ganz genau wissen will gibt es auch die Mitschrift (Transcript) der Gerichtsschreiber (pdf 167 Seiten via laboratorium.net ).

Zur Anhörung in der letzten Woche auch z.B. die Meldung hier bei boersenblatt.net.
